Leadbetter Carr Architects is a fresh, new architect’s office.
We have a huge passion for architecture and design. It’s what gets us up in the morning.
If you believe that the space you live or work in can change the way you think and feel, please read on and take the first step towards your new architect-designed building.
We are registered architects and practice members of the New Zealand Institute of Architects. Justin is a New Zealand Green Star Accredited Professional and therefore able to prepare documentation for Green Star, Home Star and the new mandatory Green Build requirements leading to New Zealand Green Building Council certification. Green Build has become a compulsory part of building consent requirements as part of the Christchurch City Plan and will be required for new retail, office and residential developments.

Justin Leadbetter and Kate Carr are highly qualified with a combined knowledge spanning 35 years of experience internationally and locally.
Justin and Kate are a creative, friendly, approachable, down to earth, pragmatic, husband and wife team.
“Our designs aim to be friendly and familiar, but at the same time fresh and contemporary. One of our house clients described it best as being like “houses for the Ikea generation”. When we think of Ikea we think of innovative design, a clean and airy freshness, value and a sense of ‘home’ and ‘family’. We liked that.”
